Terms & Conditions (T&Cs)

These Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) govern your use of Balance Mat systems comprising Hardware (defined as Balance Mat computerised mats, sensors, optical fibre and connection cables) and Services (defined as all of Balance Mat Pty Ltd's websites, services, products including computerised mat hardware and the Balance Mat Test Results System database where information is stored).

By accessing and/or using our websites and related services ("Services"), you agree to these T&Cs, which include our Privacy Policy (available via the footer of the website) and Payment Terms and Conditions (available via the Balance Mat supplier, Balance Metrix website at https://balancemetrix.com.au/shop/). Note that all prices and offers are in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated, are subject to availability and may change before (but not after) your order has been accepted.

In the case of a free trial the End User is bound by the time period and payment terms and conditions set out in documentation provided by the Licensor and / or its supplier Balance Metrix. This includes the terms and conditions for transitioning from a trial to a paid subscription or purchase once the agreed free trial period has elapsed.

You are advised to review these T&Cs carefully. Information contained therein may change from time to time, so it is recommended that you check back often. If you do not agree to these T&Cs, you are advised to cease using our Services immediately.

In these T&Cs, references to "we", "us", "our" or "the Company" means Balance Mat Pty Ltd and our related bodies corporate.

Any failure of the Company or its officers, agents, affiliates, directors and employees to enforce any of these T&Cs will not impact on our right to require performance by you at a later time.

In order to use Balance Mat Services you will need an internet connection, Windows or macOS computer or laptop, desk or similar surface to rest the computer or laptop on and solid floor space (i.e. not spongy carpet or grass) measuring 500mm x 700mm. Note that the Balance Mat only works on a hard surface. The mat itself is 6mm thick, eliminating the need for the foam sometimes used for manual balance testing.

The computerised mat can be cleaned with alcohol wipes or a damp cloth and standard cleaning product. It must not be immersed in water, made excessively wet or left outdoors.

The computerised mat must not be cut, folded or left in direct or indirect sunlight (i.e. in a hot car or near a heat source such as a heater or fireplace).

The Balance Mat Hardware is provided in a cardboard box. It is recommended that this box be used to store and transport the computerised mat.

The information provided by Balance Mat Services is not comprehensive and does not constitute medical or allied health advice. Specifically, Balance Mat Data results cannot be used for the diagnosis or treatment of any medical issue or ailment. Rather, Balance Mat Services are intended to be used in conjunction with the health professional or allied health provider End User's own knowledge, qualifications and experience in the treatment of and / or exercise prescription for individuals with balance disorders.

You must be registered as an End User to access our Services, which are provided via subscription or purchase for an agreed sum (see the website of Balance Mat supplier, Balance Metrix at https://balancemetrix.com.au/shop/).

To register and activate your account, you will be required to provide us with personal data such as your name, telephone number and email. It is your responsibility to ensure that this data is accurate and up-to-date. All personal data we collect will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (accessible via the footer of the website).

When you register and activate your account through our https://balancemat.org website, we will provide you with login details, which include a user name and password. At the time of registration you will be prompted to change the password to one that you will remember and be able to use. Please note that we do not have access to the password you create. If you forget it we can assist you to re-set your account with a new password but we cannot change it for you.

You are responsible for keeping your user name and password secure and for all use and activity carried out under your user name.

It is your responsibility as the End User to have appropriate and relevant insurances and privacy and security practices in place to cover your use of Balance Mat Services.
